Explore the neighbourhood and enjoy where the city meets the countryside along the wild footpaths at Barking riverside – grab a coffee from the wonderful Boathouse Cafe, just a 5 minute walk from our apartments. Barking has plenty to offer including a diverse range of shops and markets.
Alternatively, guests can enjoy London in the day and escape to some calm in the evenings for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Barking’s Royal Oak Pub has a great atmosphere in the evenings and very tasty Pizza. Guests can also head to see a show at the Broadway Theatre, showing a fantastic range of productions for all ages.

The highlight of Barking’s location is convenience – Barking is perfect for business travellers and those looking for a quiet base in London’s suburbs. The area offers access to all transport links including an easy commute to London City Airport. The location is conveniently placed between central London and more rural locations, making it a great base for both long and short stays.
The area has lots to offer and is lovely in itself. Got tickets for an event at the 02 Arena? Book a Stayo Barking apartment and you’re only 20 minutes away. Football fans can also enjoy easy access to both West Ham and Woolwich stadium. Shoppers will love visiting Westfield Stratford City, Europe’s largest shopping centre nearby or Walthamstow Market, the longest outdoor market in Europe offering everything from fruit and veg to rolls of fabric, and some great restaurants like Pie Mash along the way.
