2021 will be yet another year that is never forgotten, it began with uncertainty and brought opportunities and challenges alike. It is safe to say that nobody knew what to expect following the experiences of 2020; we have all been put to the test, and the hospitality, travel and leisure industries have been some of the hardest hit. We are proud to say that we have used the effects of the pandemic as an opportunity to reflect and build on ourselves as an organisation.
We have launched guest experiences on our website allowing our guests to enjoy the best of London like a true local. We have promoted within the team and hired new talent including a new CEO and management team with clear and ambitious direction in line with Stayo’s values. Two new buildings have entered our portfolio in new areas of London further expanding the possibilities of our guest experience. Early in the year, Covid-19 reduced the opportunity for personal exchange and so, come Summer, we did not take for granted, the ability to interact with our guests again and come together as a team. As we moved through the pandemic, we have adapted to the changing restrictions and set ourselves high quality cleaning standards and continued to use automated, contactless check-ins. 2021 has allowed us to focus on our brand and solidify who we are as a company, we pride ourselves in our guest experience and the passion and work ethic of our local London team.
As the year comes to an end, we are delighted to make agreements on new buildings, paving the way for 2022 to be a great success. We will be moving into an office that is bigger and more Covid-19 friendly, allowing our team to grow. (We look to transfer to systems that provide a better experience for our partners, customers, and staff.) Overall, Stayo has raised the bar this year and we are working on renovating and redecorating our existing apartments to meet these standards and provide our guests with the best space possible. We look forward to the future and the continuation of Stayo’s success; we are very proud of how far we have come despite obstacles along the way.
