The Area
Located 20 minutes east of City of London, Barking is perfect for business travellers. London City Airport is just a 15 minute taxi ride away, and with the nearby A13 and railway, it is a well connected place to base yourself.
Barking has lots to offer and is a lovely area in itself. Got tickets for an event at the 02 Arena? Book a Stayo Barking apartment and you’re only 20 minutes away. Football fans can also enjoy easy access to both West Ham and Woolwich stadium. Shoppers will love visiting Westfield Stratford City, Europe’s largest shopping centre nearby or Walthamstow Market, the longest outdoor market in Europe offering everything from fruit and veg to rolls of fabric, and some great restaurants like Pie Mash along the way.
One other highlight of Stayo Barking is the easy access to the beach! You’ve read right – the beach, more specifically Leigh-on-Sea, a charming coastal town. You can get there within just over half an hours C2C train ride. Escape in Summer for a sunny beach day or
for a blast of fresh air along the seafront in Winter.
