Christmas Markets in London

Festive celebrations in London are getting well underway and the Christmas markets are the perfect place to find gifts, enjoy seasonal food and drink or enjoy a Christmas weekend with friends and family. We have put together a selection of our favourite festive markets across the city for you.

Winter Wonderland

What would Christmas in London be without a visit to Winter Wonderland, London’s largest Christmas Market. This fun family event happens every year in Hyde Park and offers endless choices of rides and stalls selling unusual gifts, arts and crafts, jewellery, and decorations. This is the perfect place to do all your Christmas shopping. Head to the Bavarian Village for some German festivities, enjoy a cocktail in the ice bar or have some seasonal mulled wine. If you prefer a creamy hot chocolate, there are plenty of festive drinks to warm you up after exploring the market. Don’t forget to wrap up warm!

Southbank Winter Markets

Stroll along the River Thames under the twinkling lights of the Winter Market at the Southbank Winter Festival. Here you can browse more types of street food than you could possibly imagine. Browse the alpine-style chalets selling seasonal treats. We recommend indulging in one of Meltsmith’s Grilled Cheese Sandwiches or trying the sweet, stacked Dutch pancakes that have been drizzled with Nutella.

Celebrate Christmas this year in London’s home of entertainment, Leicester Square. Visitors can enjoy a festive outing filled with eating, drinking and entertainment all curated by Underbelly. On Mondays and selected Sundays, you can catch a performance of Austentatious: An improvised Jane Austen Novel, said to be not one to miss! The tent will also host events for kids such as a baby disco so make sure to check the website for dates!
